Beaches Family Law

After years in a busy family litigation practice, I discovered Collaborative Practice and was immediately drawn to its values and principles. Most separating spouses are concerned with how their finances will be dealt with and also with the physical and emotional well-being of their children. They want to have a straightforward, efficient, and easy-to-understand process that will help them achieve their goals, without the uncertainty of having a judge decide for them. They want to minimize the conflict and stress of separation and the impact on their children. Collaborative practice is the best process to help clients achieve these goals.
I have spent the majority of my 25-year career exclusively in the discipline of family law, and I have committed myself to the principles of collaborative practice for many years. I provide supportive, informative, personalized and professional services to my clients. I ensure that my clients understand the issues surrounding their separation, and that they have all of the information necessary to make informed decisions from the beginning to the end of their matters. I am child-focused and strive to minimize conflict and improve communication during the negotiation process. I have strong network of financial professionals who can provide supplementary cost-effective services to my clients to ensure a deeper understanding of complex tax and corporate issues. I also have a strong network of family professionals who can assist in the crafting of detailed parenting plans and provide ongoing conflict management support to the family even after the separation agreement is concluded.
I am a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada, Collaborative Practice Toronto, and the International Association of Collaborative Practitioners.
Even if you feel that your separation is conflictual and adversarial, it doesn't need to continue that way. I encourage you to contact me to discuss how your unique situation can benefit from the collaborative approach.
