Walsh Family Law
2300 Yonge St., Suite 1600, Toronto, ON , M4P 1E4
I have been practising family law exclusively since 2003 and Collaborative Divorce since 2004; currently, I serve as a board member of Collaborative Practice Toronto. I understand the fear and emotional turmoil that spouses often face whet they go through the process of separation and divorce. In addition to providing excellent legal advice, I am available to my clients to guide them through the process with compassion and empathy. When children are involved, I work exclusively with clients who consider the best interest of their children in reaching a settlement! I listen to my clients and I care about them.
In my opinion, for most people, Collaborative Practice is the best process in which to resolve the legal, emotional and financial issues arising out of marital separation; it is focused on achieving a settlement that meets the needs of both spouses and their children (if any), as opposed to litigation which is very adversarial and often causes significant emotional distress as well as financial drain. That strain on already fragile relationships creates an impediment to positive co-parenting. Divorce does not have to mean war with your former spouse.
