This has been a challenging time for all of us. Please know that we on the board of directors have you all in our thoughts and we hope that you and your families remain safe and well.
As we all adapt to the new reality we now work and live in, we plan to continue to support you conducting our important collaborative work. It is at times like these that our belonging to and sharing resources with the larger collaborative community will provide the greatest benefit. It is a good opportunity to remind our members that Collaborative Divorce Toronto is a member of the Ontario Association of Collaborative Professionals (OACP) and, accordingly, we are all able to avail ourselves of their resources.
The OACP is continuing to add professional development videos and other resources to their website www.oacp.co including on topics and resources directly relating to Collaborative Professionals adjusting amid the Coronavirus pandemic. If you do not yet have member access, please do not hesitate to reach out to Judith Huddart at email@example.com. We would encourage you to join their mailing list as well, if you aren’t already on it. OACP also recently sent out details regarding a Facebook group containing additional resources.
We are reaching out to OACP as well as the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals (IACP) and learning about what we may bring to our community.
Please note our next two scheduled events are being modified:
- Dinner meeting on April 23, 2020 is being replaced by a free webinar presentation by Russell Alexander and Carrie Heinzl titled “Virtual Collaborative Practice…Open for Business” (6pm to 7:30pm); and
- Negotiations, to be presented by Joe Sheridan & Linda Ippolito on April 29, 2020 (Lunch & Learn) will now also be a webinar.
We will send out an update with further details and signup information in the coming days.
Lastly, we are in need of articles for our website blog and warmly welcome submissions dealing with Collaborative Practice, family, family law or finances. There are many ways to tie topics into the recent Covid-19 crisis although it is not essential. 500-600 words is ideal. Please submit articles to firstname.lastname@example.org.
